Our senior ladies travelled to Abbeyfeale this evening for the 1st round of the Cup.
Abbeyfeale settled quicker than us and their passing game had us under pressure from the off, after 10mins they hit the back of the net with a great strike from outside the box. 
This definitely got the celtic girls playing better and for the remainder of the 1st half we were well in it but couldn't find the equaliser.
Half time 1-0.
2nd half we were under pressure again but when Abbie Finnan picked up the ball and played a lovely through ball for Hannah Casey to run onto and to finish so well into the bottom corner. 1-1. 
Both teams continued to cause each other problems. Our outstanding Keeper Niamh Brosnan who made 2 or 3 amazing saves to keep us in it along with a goal line clearance from Sarah Warren where some of the highlights of the 2nd half.
Game finished 1-1.
Into extra time and again neither side could find the winner.
Penalties were next and this is how we went out of competition unfortunately.
