Our u17s got a great run out this evening against Glantine F.C. in a friendly match.
Both teams put in a great effort for the full 80mins but it was Celtic who came out on top with a 3-0 win.
This will stand to us with our upcoming National Cup match in a few weeks time.
Every single player gave their all tonight, our Captain Lauren Buckley in the heart of our defence along with Lan O’Connor, Ciara Forde, Aimee Shine all stood strong through out to make sure our 2 stand in keepers were well protected Nell casey came in and made some impressive runs up the right wing.
1st goal was scored by Holly Forrest who was at her very best tonight 👏
In midfield, Abaigh struck her 1st goal for the club from the left wing by getting into the box and latching onto a great cross. Michelle O’Connor, Ailish Breen and Sadhbh O’Brien worked tirelessly and with 2 lighting fast players up front in Ali Bowler ans Holly Forrest the Glantine defence were always under pressure.
Leah mannix played some beautiful passes and was unlucky not to get in the scoresheet herself
Molly Philpott came out of goals in the 2nd half and added extra energy to the team and scored a classy goal from a very tight angle which was a great way to cap off her 1st appearance for the u17s.
