In a tight absorbing contest Killarney Celtic girls deservedly came out the right side against a very good Park FC side at Celtic Park this evening. Killarney Celtic created a number of close chances through Holly Forrest and Sadbh O’ Halloran but the winner came from a superb Michelle O’ Connor free kick 2mins from the end . It was a great team squad to get across the line . Our best players this evening were Tara Cronin commanding in goal all through , Lan O’ Connor outstanding in a very good back four unit , Michelle O’ Connor whose ball skills shone in a tremendous midfield unit , Holly Forrest and Sadbh O’ Halloran very dangerous up front, but our girl of the match was our defensive lynchpin Niamh Brosnan whose workrate , tackling , and distribution was excellent.
