Captain tonight was Albjon and he lead the team well as always.

A cruel result for the boys tonight on a night when there was very little between the two teams. Celtic started brightly and scored early through Hammad after great work in the build up by Josh, Simon and Ben. Athletic grew into the game and scored with a header from a corner. Celtic to their credit finished the half strongly and were very unlucky not to go in ahead at half time.
The Celtic defence of Darren, Ryan, Fionn, Joey and Marc were under pressure in the early part of the 2nd half but they dealt well with everything Athletic had to offer. Celtic again got on top and had a few great chances but couldn't find the net. With 5 minutes left Athletic scored with a long range effort which just beat the outstretched arm of Darren. Celtic had one last chance when Josh's great header was somehow cleared off the line by an Athletic defender.
