We welcomed our neighbours in glorious sunshine. Our first opponent of the season were almost our last as we scraped through after sudden death pens. We struggled to break Mastergeeha down and they put huge effort in. We fluffed some chances but dominated the entire game apart from Ryan Cronin making a wonder save in the 2nd half. Our boys put huge effort in but failed to find the net. Cillian Daly, Andrew Daly, Rory Murphys defending was solid. Padraig O'Sullivan was excellent with his passing and won his battles. Josh Buckley, Erik Dominguez, Dylan McCarthy Jake Scannell and Sam Fleury gave everything to try beak through. Jamie Downing, Andrew O' Sullivan and Rowan Murphy were relentless in midfield.
After extra time Dylan, Josh, Rowan, Jamie, Jake and Erik brilliantly dispatched their Penos and Motm Ryan Cronin saved Mastergeeha's 6th penalty onto the post. Cue celebration, coaches relief and next round to look forward to.
