We were welcomed to Ferndale this evening for the shield semi final.

It was always going to be tough against a strong Athletic side, missing 2 influencel players in Darragh our goalkeeper and Zsombi our goal scoring midfielder..

We started very well and we're able to take the lead.
Eryk Mc Grath finishing off a lovely through ball from Conor Brosnan..

As has happened a few times this season scrappy goals overshadowed our performance. 

2 ND half Athletic came into it more and started to get a few chances .
Adam O’Sullivan went into goals for 2nd  half and made some good stops. 

Cian Millville nearly got through on a few occasions and worked hard up top.

The boys ran out of gas with only having 2 subs and it showed in the final 10 minutes.. 
Athletic extended their lead ..

The season ends with a disappointing result but the boys can hold their heads high for the effort and application all year . 

They have played some fantastic soccer this year and have got better and better as the season went on.
