Our planned football tournament in Verres fell foul of the heavy rainfall but the organisers had a good plan B which saw four celtic teams play the locals River Plaine ASD in a futsal blitz.
The u15s, under the change of Mike Doody won the u15 tournament.
Alan O'Sullivan’s u15 charges with 2 u16 girls played super.
In the 5 team u16 tournament two of our orthopedic players took charge of the teams.
Mark Bartlett’s team was 2nd and Sean Horan’s team played well but were very unlucky.
👏Sadbh O Halloran won the best u16 player for a spirited display against the Italian lads.
👏Fionn O'Connor got the u15 accolade after stepping into goals for Mike's winning side.
