🙍♂️Player of the Match: George Nomikos (Left back)
We travelled to a very windy Dingle today and returned with a comfortable victory. We had to overcome a setback before the match when co-manager Ian Cronin realised that he had forgotten his jacket. Ian braced himself and the lads put their concern for him aside, tuned in and got off to a great start with an early goal by Cathal O'Donovan. Eoin Murphy finished well soon after to double the lead. A Josh O'Donoghue freekick caused consternation in the box and Kyle Fleming forced the ball home. We could have added to the scoreline but the Dingle keeper did very well. The goals started to flow in the second half. Nathan Cronin getting a deserved goal and Josh O''Donoghue making it five. Conor Randles on his debut scored a fifteen minute hattrick with some great direct attacking and finishing. Mark O'Connor was moved up front and got his long awaited goal, much to the delight of his teammates. The scoring was finished by the excellent George Nomikos when he rounded the keeper and finished cooly after an exquisite Cian McGill through ball. George's knee slide celebration needs work but his performance today was brilliant and he was player of the match. Fair play to Dingle who never gave in and particularly their keeper who battled bravely throughout. Fionn Spellman also made his first start of the season and has been a great addition to the squad.
👏Thanks to the ref who made a long journey and officiated very well throughout. Tougher tests await but a very good display today from a team perspective with everyone playing their part.
👏Well done lads and management
