In perfect conditions Celtic welcomed Kinnegad Junior’s in national cup today.
Opening 5/10 minutes both defences were on top. Break through came to Celtic with Luke Clancy coming in from the right with a cool finish. Celtic found great confidence from it and made it 2 from out the box Nakita finding top corner of net. With 20 plus minutes on clock Celtic was awarded a penalty. Kiernan Kelly powering run was brought down inside the box. Stephen Shine Doody stepped up to make it 3. Just before half time Kinnegad Junior’s pulled one back to make it 3-1.
Second half was nip and tuck for the opening ten minutes. Celtic went very close on few occasions and was unlucky not to make it 4-1. Credit to Kinnegad they had strong spell of position for the next 12 minutes or so and put the game in the melting pot when they made it 3-2. Celtic really dug in defence credit to Ryan in goals, backs of Conor, Daniel, Stephen, Marco subs Colm and Ross. In midfield Lachlan and Tristan covered every inch of the field. Up top Nakita, Kiernan, Luke, Jason plus subs Cormac Emmanuel, Simon and Ben gave us fresh legs when needed. With 7 mins to go a special mention to forward Hammad with the goal of the game and put the tie to bed with a rocket outside the box.
I couldn't pick a player of the match due to 1 to 18 gave absolutely everything they had.
