🙍♂️MOTM: was Mark Van Der Merwe who made some outstanding saves and couldn't be faulted for any of the games. Honourable mentions to Jace Flynn and the ever impressive Jamie Downing.
The top two sides in the division faced off in Kemare tonight with the home side coming out on top. Celtic were hit with a blow before a ball was kicked as regular goalkeeper Mark McGee was ill. Mark Van Der Merwe volunteered to put on the gloves and he made some great saves throughout the game.
Celtic started the brightest and Eoin Murphy scored early on after great work by Jace Flynn. Celtic could have added a second when Cathal O'Donovan hit the crossbar. Inter came into the game after this and scored 2 quick fire goals on the break. The rest of the first half was end to end with Jace Flynn hitting the crossbar and Mark Van Der Merwe making some great saves.
Kemare started the second half very well and scored two quick goals, one which was a penalty. They added another one to make it 5-1 and they had some great players on show. Celtic kept fighting and got one back when Eoin Murphy finished off a brilliant Jace Flynn run and cross. Celtic nearly got another with Cathal O'Donovan coming close. Kenmare finished off the scoring with a cracking strike.
All in all, a tough outing but we learned a lot. We kept at it and our heads didn't drop.
