At windy and rainswept Kilmayley, Killarney Celtic dug out a great result with a total team performance. Amelia Carroll Kelly our playmaker got the opener following a well time run into the box after 9mins. Playing with the elements Killarney Celtic created lots of chances but it was 1-0 HT. 
Connolly Celtic came out of the traps 2nd half but Killarney Celtic back four were very resolute and Sadbh O’Halloran put Celtic up 2-0 after 58 mins with a great run and finish following a fabulous pass from Michelle O Connor whose skill and vision shone . Tara Cronin was solid in goals all through and made some great saves and Sadbh O Halloran put the game behind reach with her 2nd goal after 85m , but in the last min Tara Cronin made an unbelievable save from penalty spot to keep a clean sheet . All the girls played fantastic , Ellen Allman and Lauren Buckley were imperious centre halfs with good support Sadbh O’ Brien , Ali Bowler and Niamh Fitzgibbon workrate was off the charts , Amelia Carroll Kelly , and Michelle O Connor ran the midfield sector efficiently.
Girl of match contenders were Tara Cronin in goals, Sadbh O Halloran cause lots of problems upfront with her pace & physicality, but girl of match was Lan O’ Connor whose energy , covering, and ball playing was exceptional.
