Killarney Celtic U13 Whites 3-0 LB Rovers
Killarney Celtic came out on top today in this highly anticipated top of table clash. Both teams came into the game unbeaten and it was Celtic who took the 3 points with a dominant display from start to finish. Celtic started very well with Josh O Donoghue, Keenan McCarthy and Rowan Murphy winning a huge amount of ball in midfield and the breakthrough came midway through the first half with a fine strike from Jace Flynn.
Celtic defended brilliantly with a back four of Mark O'Connor, Jamie Downing, Kyle Fleming and Mark Van Der Merwe all excelling. Mark Mcgee was quick and confident in goals when called upon. Celtic created a few more good chances with some great running by Cathal O'Donovan and Eoin Murphy was very unlucky not to increase the lead on several occasions. Celtic kept up the pressure and got their reward just before half time when a pinpoint corner from Jace Flynn was headed to the net by the towering Kyle Fleming. Celtic maintained control throughout the second half with a very disciplined and committed display. They added a third goal shortly before full time when Eoin Murphy got a pure striker's goal after the LB Rovers keeper couldn't hold onto a Jace Flynn freekick. A brilliant display overall from all the players today including a great impact from subs Nathan Cronin, Daniel O'Sullivan and George Nomikos. Kyle Fleming was a colossus at the back and put in s man of the match performance. It was a fantastic win.
👏Well done boys & management
