Celtics 15s travelled to Castleisland on Friday evening in perfect conditions this game. Both sides gave it everything on the pitch for the full 70 odd minutes. Shortly after Celtic lost two to injury, Nikita and Steve unfortunately had to make way.
Credit to our squad. Emmanuel and Cormac came in and did brilliantly. 5 minutes before half time Castleisland got a deserved equaliser to make it 1 a piece at half time.
Second half celtic started very good and went close on 4 occasions with one hitting the post. Then for the next ten minutes Castleisland had 3 good chances themselves to take the lead. With 2 minutes remaining of normal time Kiernan Kelly kept up his recent goalscoring tally with a lovely finish.
Many players stood out tonight Emmanuel, Cormac, Jason, Lachlan..
👏Thanks to Castleisland AFC on a great match that could have easily gone to extra time. Also ref Adrian Quirke on a fine match. The boys now look forward in the year playing the last 32 of all Ireland.
👏Well done boys & management
