🙎♀️Charleville Cheese WU17 Premier Results & Match Report
🇳🇬U17 Girls 🆚 Iveragh United
🇳🇬Goal scorers:
Michelle O’Connor ⚽️⚽️
Niamh Fitzgibbon ⚽️⚽️
🙎♀️ Player of the match goes to Sarah Warren who was outstanding in defence on night for Celtic.
Tonight we faced a really solid Iveragh team at home in tough wet and windy conditions.
The game was even enough to begin with, both sides creating half chances but it was the Celtic girls who settled quickest and scored a well worked goal, finished off by Michelle O’Connor after being played through by Amelia Carroll Kelly. 1-0.
2nd goal soon followed when Niamh Fitzgibbon was fed the ball in the area and cool as you like she placed her shot into the far corner with no chance for the keeper.
3rd goal was a carbon copy Niamh again played through into the box and again very calmly slotted into the far corner.
4th goal came direct from a corner, Michelle O’Connor hit it hard and low with curl and beat everyone to go straight in.
4-0 half time.
2nd half was a much tighter affair with both teams fighting for every ball until the final whistle was blown.
Game finished 4-0
👏Huge thanks to Holly and her team for travelling over and for a very sporting game and to Terence for doing a great job reffing.
👏Well done girls & management
