🙍♂️KSBGL U12 Boy’s Division 1 Result & Match Report
🇳🇬U12 Boy’s White 1-0 Fenit Samphires
🇳🇬Goal scorer:
Conor Bartlett ⚽️
🙍♂️MOTM: Thomas Mulvihill
Fenit have gone unbeaten so far this season. Under floodlights in perfect conditions both sides served up a cracker.
This was a real team effort where Celtic used their bench to great effect to keep players fresh in what was a high tempo game. There were plenty of half chances for both sides throughout but with two excellent defenses this was never going to be high scoring. Celtic kept Fenit on high alert with Erik Dominguez, Erik McGrath and Mayks Opala proving to be a real handful as usual, but Fenit held out after their early mistake.
Killarney’s midfield fought hard all night and dropped back well when needed, Fionn Murphy, Culann Cronin (C) along with Darragh Carey and Luke McMahon worked their socks off, but it was the organisation and work rate of Wojtek Zglinski and Player of the Match Thomas Mulvihill that really stood out on the night. Fenit launched attack after attack but they were repelled every time by the Trojan work of the two centre backs. Illia Pomishchyk was called into action several times and made a great save deep into the second half only for the ball to fall to a Fenit player, this looked to surly have been the equaliser only for the quick thinking and even quicker feet of Zglinski who cleared it off the line.
Celtic had a few chances to extend the lead, the best of which came from Dominguez two minutes before the final whistle, where he took a pass just inside the Fenit half and beat four defenders but was unlucky not to finish.
👏Well done boys and management
