Celtic started well in this game Evan O’Donoghue hitting the cross bar with tremendous effort from 30 yds. Tough under foot conditions with long grass causing problems for our passing game. But good move starting on left wing with good passing from David Ajibare and Emmanuel Iheme to set up Cillian Scannell with his and our first goal 15 minutes in. Pike fought hard and were using their physical advantage to good use but never really tested our very assured debut keeper Rylan Flynn who performed brilliantly throughout the game. Cillian followed up with a well taken free kick although had a deflection still hit back of the net making it no 2 for him and team.
Second half . Celtic lost their way in midfield but the introduction of Cormac O’Sullivan proved vital as he settled the ship and after break away attack which saw 4 possible scorers but it was e Angland who calmly slooted the ball into back corner of the net. Celtic ran out Victors in a competitive battle on difficult pitch.
Best for celtic Rylan Flynn, Donnacha Coffey, Evan O’Donoghue , Cillian Scannell & Cormac O’Sullivan.
