After 20mins Castleisland finally got into the Celtic half and forced a corner which Celtic failed to clear and the ball was poked home. Celtic reponded well and Joey Enright let fly from 25yards and the ball crashed in off the crossbar to bring Celtic level after 24mins. Celtic pushed for another but got caught with some sloppy play leaving the Castleisland striker through on goal and despite James Courtney getting both hands to the shot there was too much power to leave it 2-1 to the visitors at half time.
Celtic started the 2nd period on the front foot and got their reward after 40mins when Cian O Connell cut in from the right and lashed the ball home. Celtic continued to create chances with Connell Favier pulling the strings but we We couldn't get the lead goal. Castleisland were always dangerous on the break and they got in behind again to take a 3-2 lead with 5mins left. Celtic tried to get back into it but were caught again to leave the final score 4-2 to the visitors. All the lads played their part and gave their all.
👏Thanks to Castleisland and ref Tom Kerrisk for a sporting game.
