🇳🇬U16 Girl’s 1-3 Charleville AFC
🇳🇬Goal scorer:
Sadbh O’Brien ⚽️
Girl of the match Michelle O’Connor.
Killarney Celtic U16’s came up short against a superb Charleville AFC side who hit the ground running from the off. Caila Neligan upfront caused havoc drifting across the line and in the first half was fouled twice for 2 well taken penalties which they scored sandwiched between an excellent individual goal by Caila leaving it 3-0 after 30m. Killarney Celtic got a goal back from Sadbh O’ Brien before half time following a well taken corner by Michelle O ‘ Connor.
In the second half Killarney Celtic tried hard to get back into the game but created few chances till last 5mins when Amelia Carroll Kelly now on left wing got to the byline a few times and from one of chances created Tess Ajibare went very close to scoring to take Charleville AFC down the wire.
It finished 3-1 with Charleville AFC deserving winners and we wish them the best in next round.
Killarney Celtic girls battled hard all through. Lan O ‘Connor was our best performer in defence supported by Lauren Buckley, Niamh Fitzgibbon worked hard down the right flank in midfield, Ali Bowler and Sadbh O’Halloran powerful running and workrate stemmed the tide at times , but our girl of the match was the outstanding Michelle O’Connor who started on left wing and caused the Charleville defence a lot of trouble with her dribbling runs, passing , and workrate .
👏Thanks to Paddy Oz for officiating efficiently .
