Celtic Hoops u12 made the short trip to woodlawn to play local rivals Athletic. The sun was shining and both teams battled hard throughout. It was tight for the 1st 15mins with both sides coming close to opening the scoring, Ryan Lowe and Dwane came close for the hoops and Joey O'connor made some good stops to keep it scoreless. The deadlock was broken by Athletic on 16mins and they soon added a 2nd when the ball squirmed past Joey. Celtic tried to battle back and Karam and Joey Enright had long range efforts go close. Celtic were caught cold when athletic added a 3rd and right on half time they conceded again to go 4 down. 

The 2nd half was just a minute old when Atheltic scored again. But the boys kept their heads and started to get their passing game going. Joey Enright pulled one back and it was soon 5-2 when Karam broke through and finished smartly. It was all celtic now and they got another when Dwayne followed up a shot and tapped to the net. Karem, Kuba and Conor Clifford came close to finding the net but Celtic ran out of time. All the boys gave their all and it was only their 2nd game together so they will improve.
