Celtic started very brightly against Listowel this afternoon, from the start they played the ball around and always tried to play in behind, Jack got in behind to force a few saves before he opened the scoring after a super clearance from Rylan put him through and scored with a lovely finish. Celtic were playing super football against a physically bigger Listowel side. Rylan kept the back four of captain Robbie, Keenan, James, and Gavin moving and the midfield of David, Josh, Fionn, Jace and Cian were playing lovely balls around. Listowel hit the cross bar 3 times in the first half and unlucky not to score before Jack made 2 from a great ball across from Jace.
Listowel then used they’re physicality a lot more and got 2 back and were on the up before half time. 2-2 at the break.
Listowel started the brighter and got a lovely 3rd, Celtic then reverted to playing it on the ground with very quick football, Sean, Tiernan, Kyle and Dean all did great when introduced, Kyle in CB was brilliant against the long balls by Listowel.
Tiernan and Sean were breaking up play in the middle, along with Keenan and David. Cian and Jace the width and Dean keeping them on the back foot. Tiernan put Jack through to make it 3-3 with super left footed finished before Jack won and convert a pen. The boys played exceptional today and a credit to them for coming back from behind to win.
