The u16 premier campaign started in an entertaining encounter in Tralee where Dynamos proved a difficult nut to crack.
Our lads took a while to settle into the game with a strong breeze.
Somewhat against the run of play Dynamos got a breakthrough goal when a ball on the counter was flicked into an unmarked player in the six yard box who beat Ryan's dive.
Celtic went closest to an equaliser when Tobias Iheme rattled the woodwork after a great cross by Nando Dominguez.
Jack OGrady, Samuel Scroope and Luca Mosca all tested the Dynamos keeper in that first half.
Celtic started the second half with more purpose and composure and Sean Collins on the right and the combination of Jack Culloty and Dara Horan on the left were starting to create good chances.
Samuel Scroope played with his back to goal and linked up well even when tightly marked.
Sean Collins got a lovely equalising goal with his left foot cutting in from the right and was unlucky not to score a second goal shortly afterwards. denied a second goal by referee's offside.
Samuel went close twice - once bravely heading despite the advancing keepers punch which was cleared off the line, and twice in succession he was denied after good link up play by Sean.
Jack Grady and Luca also gave good second half displays in the middle of the park as did u15 call up Stephen Shine Doody. Jack Culloty's influence on the game also grew in the second half.
All in all, a draw was a fair result in a sporting game.
👏Thanks to Dynamos and the Ref for a sporting game.
👏Well done boys and management
