🇳🇬U12 Boy’s Hoops 2-0 Killorglin AFC B
🇳🇬Goal scorers:
Conall Favier ⚽️
Dwayne Koeller ⚽️
🙍♂️MOTM: Cillian Clifford
Celtic Hoops u12 took on Kilorglin B at Celtic Park this afternoon. On a very warm day it took the boys a bit of time to settle into the bigger pitch but once they got their bearings, they took control of the game. The back line expertly marshelled by Conor Clifford were solid through out with James Courtney, Jack Galvin and Ben tackling hard and playing some great passes out of the back to create space for the midfield who were working tirelessly to stop Kilorglin getting a foot hold. Conall Favier, Evan and Kuba were getting on the ball and creating chances for Dwayne, Cian O'Connell and Joey Enright up top. Connell hit the bar and Joey had a long range effort saved before Connel broke through one on one with the keeper and finished smartly. Celtic kept pushing forward and Dwane Koheller doubled the lead on the stroke of half time tapping in at the back post after good approach play.
Killorglin came out strong in the 2nd half but 2 great saved by Joey O'Connor kept them at bay. Celtic could have scored more. With Cian having 2 one on one's but the killorglin keeper made good saves. Overall it was a very strong performance by all the boys. They kept playing soccer on the ground with great passing plays and fully deserved the win. They all played their part but Conor Clifford stood out at Centre back and gets the player of the match award.
👏Thanks to Killorglin for a very sporting game. 👏thanks to the ref also.
👏Thanks to James Murphy for giving a dig out and to Sergie and all the lads who set up the pitch and collected the money.
👏Well done boys and management
