💁♂️🏆U15 Boy’s Healy Family Cup Final Result
🇳🇬U15A Boys 2-3 Mastergeeha
🇳🇬Goal scorers:
Iggy Truchan ⚽️
Kiernan Kelly ⚽️
Capt for Celtic: Jack OGrady
(0:3 H/T)
Hats off to James Murphy for deputising in goals for Ryan Lucey.
Celtic dominated the first half, but in their first counter attack Mastergeeha got a good goal. They added a second with only their second chance of the night and to compound the challenge- scored on the followup to a corner with the last kick of the game.
Celtic regrouped and goals from Iggy and Kiernan gave belief that the comeback was on.
Despite a succession of chances and a final shot from Sean Collins that seemed to be heading in only to bounce off the crossbar, it wasn't to be.
Congrats to Geeha and thanks to all who supported the teams and to the match officials and to the Club for hosting a busy finals series.
It wasn't to be.
Credit to the lads - the width of the crossbar was the difference between losing and a Roy of the Rovers cup final comeback. We feel their disappointment in the moment but they can look back with great pride on a super year and most of them have made great strides forward as soccer players and young men in how they applied themselves in training and games, giving a great account of themselves and their families.
