In an absolute end to end, heart racing game of football, it was the Killarney girls who came out on top captained by defender extraordinaire Grainne Kelliher.
The Camp Girls really showed great heart throughout the game and they took the lead twice over the course of the 80mins.
They led 1-0 after 15 mins but Celtic levelled it shortly after with a superb individual goal by Hannah Casey.
Camp began the 2nd half full of determination and again took the lead, early on. But the Celtic girls never gave up, they kept battling for every ball and levelled it once more from Hannah who got on the end of a rebound and chipped the opposition goalkeeper. We kept plugging away aided by the strong wind in the 2nd half and were rewarded with 2 more goals from Lan O’Connor and Ali Bowler.
The ending wasn't without its drama when Camp got a 3rd 5mins from the end. It was an extremely exciting, entertaining game from start to finish, but Celtic held on to win their 2nd final in 3 days.
😀The Referees chose Amelia Carroll Kelly as their player of the game which was truly deserved for her seasons worth of hard work.
It was a fantastic ending to what has been an amazing season for these committed bunch of young ladies.
It's not every season, you can proudly say we're League and Cup Double Winners 🏆🏆
