Killarney Celtic vs L.B Rovers u17 League Final.
Killarney Celtic would like to thank LBRovers and their coaches for a fantastic game.
Celtic girls off the back of winning the cup 3 weeks ago wanted to complete the double and they did that tonight in style for all to see. Some of the passages of play were breathtaking, especially when Casey Mulry played an outstanding through ball for Ali Bowler to run onto and as she has done all season finishing it off in style.
Celtic continued to press and when Clodagh Moriarty hit her corner to the back post Abbie Finnan was waiting and found the target.
2nd half.
With the wind at our backs for the 2nd half and the Celtic girls really finding their range of passing we started to create more opportunities and when the ball was cleared by the opposition defence Clodagh Moriarty our Captain hit the goal of the season with a left footed strike that left the keeper with no chance.
We made a few subs and the speedy Sadbh O'Halloran came on full of energy and showed this by following up an Ali Bowler strike which the keeper saved but Sadbh was on hand to hit in the rebound.
The game finished 4-0 and gave these amazing girls both the League and Cup double as well as going the entire season unbeaten and winning every game they played. An absolutely amazing stat for any team to have.

👏Also a massive thanks to Mike Casey who came in to help coach the girls and also brought a huge amount of positivity in everything he did.
👏To Clodagh, Abbie and Casey, the 3 actual u17s in the squad, your dedication to training and the club is amazing and without ye we would not celebrating these titles. Ye are a credit to yourselves, your families and the club.
