Killarney Celtic came up short against a very good Listowel Celtic side who were dominant in all areas of the pitch winning the physical battles and transitioning quickly particularly down the left flank. Listowel took the lead after Killarney Celtic failed to clear in defence with Laura Meehan finishing well and before HT Laura Meehan converted penalty chance to leave it 2-0 at HT. Laura Meehan completed her hat trick in the third quarter with an excellent strike and showed why she is one of the best finishers in this league. Ashlyn Falvey was unbeatable in their defence and Sinead Lyons ran the show in midfield . Killarney Celtic were not allowed to play with their normal fluency and tried hard to the end with Lan O' Connor showing well in midfield , Lauren Buckley stood out in defence and our best performer on a day was Michelle O' Connor who played her heart out but on the day did not have enough support.

👏Congrats to Listowel Celtic deserving league winners. We will have to regroup and rebound for the Cup and am sure our girls will .
