Celtic and MEK played out a tight game in the 2nd league playoff match. Games between the 2 teams are always tight with MEK winning 3-2 earlier in the season.

Celtic and MEK had good possession but couldn't get past either back line in the first half. The MEK goalkeeper was busier in the 2nd half but celtic couldn't finish some chances until with 10 minutes, Jack O Callaghan prodded home from 8 yards to the bottom corner. MEK were dangerous in attack and got a goal from close range to bring the match to extra time and then penalties. Stephen, Andrew, Dean, Kiernan, Brian H and Sean took the celtic penalties with an MEK player unfortunately hitting the post with the last kick for celtic to win the league. 18 players togged out on the night for celtic with others involved over the 10 league games.
