Killarney Celtic lost their unbeaten record at home v Listowel Celtic this evening who were deserved winners.

It was a tight cagey first half with both sides having a few half chances and it was nil all HT, with Listowel being more dominant winning most of 50/50 battles and overloading Killarney Celtic in midfield.

The second half continued in the same vein but the Listowel bench had a strong impact and the decisive goal came at the start of the last quarter with Listowel scoring with a fine Leona Meaney finish where Killarney Celtic failed to exit from the box.

Killarney Celtic poured forward and shaded last quarter but Listowel withstood onslaught and closed game out, being the stronger hungrier side on the night. Killarney Celtic battled strongly to the end. Tara Cronin was superb in goals, the back four defended stoutly with Lauren Buckley and Ellen Allman in particular outstanding. Michelle O' Connor dribbling ability and passing range put Listowel under pressure , and Ali Bowler and Sadbh O' Halloran worked hard on limited possession without reward.

👏Our best performer and girl of match was the excellent Amelia Carroll Kelly whose workrate, passing and dribbbling throughout the created the most openings for Kilarney Celtic .
