Despite the early downpour , the pitch at Woodlawn held up well in a dominant performance by Killarney Celtic , short a few regular starters but others stepped up to the plate. 3rd min 1:0 Leah Mannix with a goal after a great through ball from Lan O' Connor. 14th min 2:0 after a good press on the kickout & a great finish by Amelia Carroll Kelly.

Tara Cronin was solid in goals all through and her kickouts gave us an attacking platform. The centre backs Lauren Buckley and Sadbh O' Brien were superb, and Ciara Forde imperious at left back. Michelle O' Connor was a constant menace with her ball control & touch on left wing. The central midfielders Amelia Carroll Kelly in an advanced role & Lan O'Connor played well as a partnership dictating the tempo of game and working hard all through. Ali Bowler lead the line brilliantly with her pressing , energy & link up play. Ella Murphy showed well and was unlucky not to score. Player of match : Leah Mannix whose instincts, composure and finishing was top class. Killarney Athletic never stopped trying to final whistle and will have better days.
