MOTM Cillian Coffey
Killarney took the battle of the Celtics with a superb performance at Celtic Park tonight.
It was a top two battle before the league splits.
From the get go, the pace and skills of the front trio of Cillian Coffey, Pa OBrien and Samuel Scroope were causing problems for the Listowel defence.
Pa was put through by the impressive Ryan Downing and his goal bound effort was finished off by Samuel at the back post.
Pa dispatched a penalty sweetly and Cillians work rate earned him a goal from a tight angle. Pa also finished a sweet move to give Celtic a 4-0 lead in an outstanding first half.
The second half was a more even affair but Killarney could have added to their tally.
Cillian earned a penalty and his shot rattled the frame of the goal.
Samuel followed up Jack Gradys we'll struck free for another tap in.
His third goal was a delight, a lovely cut and pivot turn before finishing on his left.
Listowel deserved their two goals and battled well in the second half.
Thanks to ref Tom Kerrisk who contributed to a sporting encounter.
Picking a man of the match is crazy task when 1-15 all had such good games.
Outstanding on the night were Jack Grady, Samuel Scroope, Sean Collins, Darragh Moynihan, Pa OBrien and Daithi Stack.
Ryan Downing put in a massive shift and Mark Looney gave a captains performance. Cillian Coffey however was the man to unlock the opposition defence and create opportunities with lung-bursting pace intensity and he gets our MOTM.
👏Well done boys and management
