A very disappointing result for us tonight.

We started slowly and conceded a very soft opener from a defensive mistake.

To be fair to the boys they responded quickly with a great headed goal from a corner by Robbie Hartnett and had further chances to go ahead but couldn't find the net.

Another defensive mistake led to QPR'S second who punished a mix up in defence.

We had numerous chances to draw level before half time but we couldn't find the target.

The second half started much the same with us dominating play and creating plenty of chances but the ball wouldn't fall for our forwards.

In the space of ten minutes we were denied two blatant penalties for fouls on Eoghan Crowley but to the boys credit they kept plugging away and only for the keeper and some lucky deflections we would have equalised.

It wasn't to be tonight but you couldn't fault the boys effort. We had a very young team out who fought to the very end.

Well done to QPR for the way they played and how they defended as a unit as well 👏👏
