U-12 Celtic Gold played host to Listowel Celtic at home tonight in a great game of football. Celtic started off the stronger and got the break though when Nathan Cronin rounded his man on the right wing pushed forward & released a bullet to put Celtic 1 up. Listowel struck back not long after when a corner kick bounced badly & caught one of our men on the hand with Listowel converting the penalty. Celtic kept pushing forward and took the lead again on 20 mins when a corner kick from Aodhan O’Halloran made an its way through a packed box and into the net.

Celtic went into the half 2-1 up and on the front foot. The 2nd have started again with Celtic pushing forward and they got there well deserved 2 goal lead on 35 minutes when a great team move was clinically finished by Conor Randles. In fairness to Listowel they never gave up & got a 2nd back & also missed another penalty after another hand ball but Celtic held resolute & came away with a 3-2 victory.
