A cracking & competitive game played in perfect conditions with both teams very evenly matched. Celtic started a little slower than the opposition, and fell behind when they didn’t get properly set for a free kick midway through the 1st half. Celtic finished the half unlucky not to go in level and trailed at the break by the slimmest of margins.

Celtic came flying out of the blocks in the 2nd half pressing for an equaliser but could not break down a resolute Iveragh defence and a very inform goalkeeper. Iveragh had a few opportunities to go 2-0 only for 3 successive & brilliant safes from Celtic Keeper Brian O’Connor kept us in the game. The equaliser finally came as Celtic kept pressing and a cross from Aodhan O’Halloran was latched onto by Noah Murphy to make it 1-1 with only minutes to go as it played out Celtic had 2 wonderful chances to sneak the victory in added time only for the Iveragh Keeper to stand tall and deny us on both occasions. A fair result in the end our boys.
