Girls were up against a very strong opposition who were fast and extremely physical. We were up against their pace from the get go. We took a little longer than expected to settle and were punished for it. We found ourselves 3-0 down in the first 20 minutes with a deflected first goal and 2 other well worked moves by Connolly.

We made a few changes and a good talk at half time was what we needed and the Killarney girls came out firing in the 2nd half. They fought hard for every ball and had some great passages of play. Emma Daly soon found the back of the net and we kept on pushing with a few more chances of our own. Unfortunately, Connolly got a goal back a 2 minutes from the end from a break away counter attack. They were a very good attacking team and could have scored more if it wasn't for our superb goalkeeper Anne OShaughnessy.

Not our day but I'm proud of the girls for the fight and determination they showed for the 80 minutes
