Local derby, bragging rights shared. Celtic dominated from the off. Cillian Daly and Evan O’Donoghue keeping Athletic forwards at bay all through the game. Tiernan Cronin, played very well in goal, super distribution and a few great saves. Evan o Donoghue’s balls into the box was putting Athletic under pressure. Celtic had a few chances and broke the deadlock when Tiernan Cronin played a great ball to Cillian Scannell who made a super run down the wing and played ball across the box, Cathal O’Donovan was in the right position to score. Half time and Celtic 1 up.

Second half started pretty much the same, Dylan McCarthy playing super on the wing, Cathal O’Donovan great run, round the keeper and pulls back for Paul McGrath, Celtic 2 up. Athletic to their credit keep Celtic knowing that they weren’t done, Great play by them and they score a great counter attack goal, 2-1. A free kick from a good bit out, hit the crossbar and behind the line! 2-2 Cillian Scannell could have won it, Athletics keeper pulls off a few great saves.

Finished 2-2, great game to watch.
