Killarney Celtic played solidly on the night against a brave Park FC who had only a bare 11. The opener came after a good run up the wing and strike by Amelia Carroll Kelly with a great assist pass from Jessica Leggate after 25m. Park FC equalised with a brilliant shot by Nessa Kirby who caused problems particularly in 1st half.

In the second half Ali Bowler after 8 mins got in behind the Park FC defence to finish well to give Celtic the lead. Park FC had another unfortunate injury to Leah Griffin and were reduced to 9 players ,and with space opening up Killarney Celtic were clinical and increased the lead with a further Ali Bowler run and shot in behind a tiring Park FC defence . Sadbh O’ Halloran added 2 more well taken goals to close out the game.

On the night Celtic best performers were tenacious full back Lauren Buckley , & commanding centre half Ellen Allman , with Niamh Brosnan & Lan O Connor working hard both involved in goal assists from midfield , and Ali Bowler & Amelia Carroll Kelly terrorised the Park FC defence all through with a great last quarter from Sadbh O’ Halloran.

👏The referee Eoin Moynihan was superb and unfussy. Girl of the match was Ciara Forde who was colossal from left back shutting down Park FC right flank all through.
